Hints & Tips for your Bridal Appointments

1. WHO TO BRING ALONG

Its best to only bring those who are necessary to help you make your decision as a surprising number of brides do find their dream gown on their first appointment. Two or three of your closest family or friends is just perfect. We do find that having a large number of guests can make it overwhelming & confusing for the bride, as there can be too many opinions to consider.

2. IF POSSIBLE, TRY TO HAVE AN IDEA OF WHAT YOU WOULD LIKE

Having an idea of what you would like means that our time can be best spent focusing on the styles you like & hopefully finding your dream gown!!! We do have a huge selection of over 150 bridal gowns, so sometimes doing a little research before your appointment with us, means that we can really focus on the particular style that you like. This can be particularly useful as we do offer some fabulous treats or discounts for brides who order on their first appointment with us.

3. DO I NEED TO BRING ANYTHING OR WEAR ANYTHING SPECIFIC?
Just bring yourself :-) We do provide shoes, but its best to wear a good strapless bra or any shapewear that you may be planning to wear on your Wedding Day.

4. DO I NEED AN APPOINTMENT?

Yes appointments are advisable, just so we can make sure we have dressing room available & one of our fabulous Bridal Consultants free to look after you. Saturday & evening appointments do tend to book up a few weeks in advance, however weekday appointments may be more readily available.

5. WHEN SHOULD I BEGIN MY SEARCH?

We find the best time to begin your search for your dream gown is approximately 1.5yrs before your big day. On average, delivery can take approximately 6months and then once you've found your gown, the search for your bridesmaids can begin, which can also take approximately 5months to arrive!! Sometimes it can take a while to find your dream gown, so its best to allow plenty of time, so that you avoid any stressful time constraints. Also, most seamstresses will allow up to 12 weeks for alterations, depending on what is required.

6. WHAT IF I NEED MY GOWN ALTERED

We can recommend four fabulous seamstresses that we work closely with. Each of these seamstresses are highly skilled in their field. They are, however self-employed & are not connected to Divinity Bridal in any way other than a recommendation.

Hopefully these tips will give you a little insight into the process of choosing your bridal gown and plesae don't hesitate to contact us with any further queries you may have.
